THE ONLY PLACE IN THE CARIBBEAN WHERE YOU CAN DIVE

A WALL,
    A REEF,
        A WRECK,

AND A PIER!

                        ALL ON THE SAME DAY

The Frederiksted Pier has been called one of the top macro dives in the world.  By day it's one huge living aquarium, and when the sun goes down it is the Mecca of night dives. It's drawn some of top underwater photographers from around the world. The Pier is an attracter and habitat for some of the most sought-after and elusive marine creatures. Seahorses, Octopuses and Bat Fish are among the “stars” of the night dive. Full time residents of the pier include Peacock Flounder, Spotted Drum, Queen, French and Gray Angel fish, Parrotfish and Puffers. You'll almost always see eels, Spotted, Green, Goldspotted, and the rare sharp-tailed eel all call the pier home. Green and Hawksbill Turtles, Sting Rays and Eagle Rays are frequent passers-by. The pillars of the Pier are encrusted with an abundance of soft and stony corals providing a proliferation of color. A depth range of 10-50 feet means long bottom times, along with the calm seas of the West End make for an easy dive for beginner and comfort for photographers and advanced divers.

While it's possible to dive the Pier on your own, if you really want see the more rare or shy critters, take a guided tour from one of the diving professionals at a DIVERSe VIRGIN shop (click here for the list).
